At a historical moment that requires a real and constant commitment on the part of everyone to create a more sustainable future, we at Molino Casillo are forging ahead with enthusiasm and conviction in a quest to protect the environment that has always been one of the founding principles of our work.

Respect for nature, a close relationship with local areas, responsibility for issues related to sustainability are values ​​that unite our brand to Egea, the Italian multiservice company operating in electricity generation and and distribution, district heating services, water systems and other utilities.

Starting from January 2021, all the power required to operate our 14 milling plants throughout the country will be 100% green electricity supplied by Egea, a group established in Alba (Cuneo) in 1956 that builds power plants that generates renewable and natural energy, with 18 photovoltaic plants, a hydroelectric plant and 4 biogas and biomethane plants.

For us, sustainability is of primary importance in both ethical-social and economic terms: from the packs produced by the new flour and semolina lines to the sustainable development of numerous crops (many of which are indigenous), many of our activities pay particular attention to the territories in which we operate. Sustainability is a fundamental value for us at Molino Casillo, particularly with a view to achieving the objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda. 

In Egea, one of the most organisations that is most sensitive to the issues of sustainability and respect for local environments, we have found the ideal partner to work with and achieve the objectives we have set ourselves, and we are convinced that their contribution will be essential for us to continue and accelerate our journey on the road to sustainability. To seal this virtuous synergy, the Egea logo will be included on all our packaging, which is strictly made with FSC certified paper from responsibly managed forest sources.
